About BSCCC
Buffalo State Child Care Center, which is licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS), is designed to serve children of Buffalo State students, faculty, staff and the community. Buffalo State Child Care Center is one of the few centers in Western New York that is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
BSCCC offers both full-time and part-time care, serving the needs of children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years. Hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Our center is open year-round with the exception of the eleven legal holidays observed.
BSCCC is a private, not-for-profit organization, dependent primarily upon tuition from parents and special grants from the State University of New York Central.
In addition to our regular staff, an additional benefit of being on campus is the involvement of Buffalo State students in our program. Each semester, we have many field study, internship and work study students volunteering and working here at the center. These students are a vital part of our center and enable us to maintain lower adult/child ratios in each of the classrooms.
Our center is located on the Buffalo State campus. We have an Infant One Program (6 weeks to 12 months); an Infant Two Program (12 months- 18 months); a Toddler 1 Program (18 months to 2 years); a Toddler 2 Program (2 years to 3 years); a Preschool Program (3 years to 4 years).
Buffalo Child Care Center does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, culture, national origin or ability.
