Every Child Is Unique
At Buffalo State Child Care Center, we believe every child is a unique individual with their own personality, interests, strengths, needs, and way of experiencing the world.
Our teachers meet children where they are, providing meaningful experiences that support their development while encouraging confidence, independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
We believe strong relationships are at the heart of quality child care. By working in partnership with families, we create a nurturing community where every child can feel safe, valued, and supported.
Children Learn Through Doing
Play is how children make sense of the world around them. Through hands-on experiences, children have opportunities to explore, create, investigate, problem-solve, and discover. Our teachers thoughtfully support these experiences while giving children the freedom to follow their curiosity, make choices, and develop confidence in their own abilities. Weekly lessons are developed around topics of children's current interests, seasons, and events happening in their lives.

A Safe Place to Explore
Children learn best when they feel safe, comfortable, and supported.
Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed with children in mind, offering welcoming spaces and developmentally appropriate materials that encourage exploration, creativity, movement, quiet moments, and meaningful play.
We want children to feel comfortable trying something new, making mistakes, solving problems, and trying again. These everyday experiences help children build confidence, independence, and a sense of accomplishment.

Teachers Who Nurture & Inspire
Our teachers are at the heart of our program. They are caregivers, educators, listeners, encouragers, and trusted adults who build meaningful relationships with the children in their care.
Through patience, guidance, and positive interactions, our teachers create nurturing environments where children feel comfortable expressing themselves, trying new things, building independence, and developing confidence.
We also believe great educators never stop learning. Our teachers participate in ongoing training and professional development to continue providing meaningful, high-quality experiences for every child.

Families Are Our Partners
Parents and guardians are a child's first and most important teachers. We value the knowledge families have about their children and believe that strong partnership between home and our center help children thrive.
Open communication allows families and teachers to share milestones, celebrate accomplishments, discuss concerns, and better understand each child's individual needs.
By working together with trust, respect, and a shared commitment to each child, we create a supportive community where families feel welcomed, heard, and connected to their child's experience.

Childhood Should Feel Like Childhood
Above all, we believe children deserve the opportunity to simply enjoy being children.
To get messy. To laugh. To wonder. To create. To ask questions. To make new friends. To make mistakes. To try again. And to discover something new.
Our goal is not simply to prepare children for what comes next. It is to help them become confident, curious, caring individuals who feel excited about learning and proud of who they are.
When children feel safe, supported, and valued, they are free to do what children do best - learn, play, explore, and grow.
